Some deer hunts with Daniel & from the Adobe Ranch, TX (scroll way down for the TX (Adobe) deer. Many thanks to Scott & Jay for having me along again. Its always an absolute privilege to participate in their outing at the lease on the Adobe. This year the deer were in rut, so it was that much more exciting have the deer chasing and coming to the horns (rattling).
Since I had to finally sit down & figure out the video editing software, here's also a view vidoes from middle Georgia at Twin Cedar South that I hadn't uploaded as I couldn't figure out how to edit, cut/paste, etc...
Here's Daniel's latest, 18DEC7, a 140# doe from Lang's Pond in Sandersville:

And a video of the same:
Daniel's 1st deer of the 2007 season. A fat spike taken from Pondduck's powerline stand in Macon, GA, on Nov. 3rd @ 9:13 a.m.:

Here's the video. Sorry for the quality - I learned that there is a nightmode on the camera that doesn't work well in the day! And Daniel doesn't exactly give me warning before he shoots:
Here's Tucker getting some help from Daniel & Shelby posing with his 1st deer ever, a nice forkhorn:
Daniel later followed up on his success by taking a doe on the same stand:

And the video:
This is a nice 10 pointer I took off the Adobe Ranch. He has an interesting split G2. I saw him the prevoius day just before shooting light and wasn't sure if he was a shooter. He was chasing a doe just before you see him in the first segment, and then I see him again with video in hand. He left as I realize he's a shooter and before I could grab my rifle. He comes back and I debate taking him which is why I video him so long. As you can see, I made up my mind after questioning my sanity for not shooting. In the end, I get nervous as he leaves and I miss him clean on the 1st shot.
In case you can't see the video, here's a still...

Some more nice bucks from the Adobe:
And some more w/a few small ones too:
This buck needs Gold Bond & some rest:
Warning this is gruesome, but if you like to look at nice antlers, here's 14 points for you. Its a buck I stumbled on dead on the ranch. He was not too far from one of the stands, so it may have been shot and not found. One hunter reported a clean miss a couple weeks before. Perhaps he didn't miss, and this was his deer:
Here's some of the deer harvested during my visit to the Adobe ranch. Sorry for the quality, they were grabbed off the video:
Lonnies, nice 10 point, grossing in the mid 130's B&C:

Kirby killed a nice 8 pt. & the neighbors culled one:

The Wilke family scores a double on some fine bucks:

Keith's deer taken w/Jason alongside:

And, thinking to next year a fitting photo finish...

And as a postscript, I had to include Jason's monster buck that he killed just after our trip. What a buck....
