We tried for a repeat trip to the OBX and were greeted with poor conditions and invisible bluefin. 30 lb. class Stripers were our consolation prize.
Snakebit Sam rubbed off on everyone. For a quick summary of our bad luck:
poor seas, no tuna bite, 3 flat tires, 4 hours delay for repairs, a stuck throttle, a stuck truck on boat ramp w/a trailer & boat behind it, sea sick mates, a case of self imflicted food poisoning, a broken leaning post, a broken custom rod, 26 degree weather.
But... you know we loved every minute & would still go again tomorrow at the drop of a hat!!!!!!!!!
What, 9'-11' seas & 25 knot winds !?!?
Snapper smelling up the bathroom in a whole new way!
Plan B - Lets Catch a Striper
Snapper leaves the lines alone and we finally boat one and in fact, its a HOF entry for Sam. 1st & largest striper on $EA $ICKNE$$ at 28 lbs.
Tim posing with what he considers a kibby (a undersized, disgusting, bait stealer). Everything is relative!
