Report:

Wow, finally out in the Gulf in flat seas. This was the day I was going to take my girls out on their 1st saltwater adventure. None of them had ever been out with me before. We pulled out of Perdido Pass and the seas were as slick as ice. Not a wave to be found. We ran to the Trysler grounds with the hopes of catching a few grouper and snapper.

We managed to do just that in short order. 1st drop resulted in a keeper Red Grouper, second drop was a small Snapper, the 3rd a nice 8 lb Red Snapper. My seven year old was very excited to help Daddy reel in those big fish. My 2 year old just thought the fish all looked like Nemo. She wanted to touch every one of them. Stayed about and hour and ran back in. About as good as our 1st family outing in the Gulf could have gone.

Wife still thinks it's all too much work and $$$. Oh well a boy's gotta have his toys.

Girls see their 1st Red Grouper

Wow they thought that was a huge Snapper!!
